About Small Couture
Behind Small Couture is Pierre Hassan: a fashion designer who spent five years in the atelier of Elie Saab.
Pierre Hassan started as a boy in a tailor shop in Lebanon. There he learned to work the machines, and there his love of fashion began. He worked his way up to head of the atelier, studied as a fashion designer and made patterns for dresses.
He worked as a design manager for an international brand and eventually joined the atelier of the fashion house Elie Saab, where he worked for five years. His dream was always to work with the very best, and he never gave up on it.
In Amsterdam he brings that craftsmanship to the repair table. To him a repair is not an automatic task but a design question: how does this garment get its shape back, and where can it be better than it was?

We don’t do magic, but we try to advise people in the correct way and include a touch of fashion in each repair.
